The first day of development wooo!

I've found a nice template and have started working on that. Going to keep the template a secret for now until the first release.

Progress:

• Created Users and Programs table
• Created models for the tables
• UsersController created
• UsersController::login and UsersController::signup created and corresponding views
• Broken up design into elements nav_primary, sidebar_nav, sidebar_news, sidebar_search

Had a few problems with the session but i think i got that working. The login and register pages work.

I've started the development of the investment website. I'm not sure what the name of the project is going to be but Simon and I will find one in the future.

I decided to blog about the project to keep track of the updates I make and keep Simon informed of the progress. 

The project will be built on top of CakePHP framework. This is the first time i've used this framework so it'll be a learning process and should be fun. 

I read a post today saying developers need to write blogs as it can be used as a marketing tools. Well this is my first blog and i need a lot of catching up to do.

I'm spending about 1-3hrs a day working on this project and will post as i make some progress.
